Your rights
People using health and disability services in New Zealand have rights under the Code of Health and Disability Services Consumers Rights. These include the right to be treated with respect, receive services of an appropriate standard, be fully informed, make an informed choice, and complain.
Raising a concern with the clinic
You can raise a concern or complaint with the clinic by email. If possible, include your name, contact details, what happened, when it happened, and what outcome you are seeking.
The clinic will aim to resolve complaints fairly, simply, and as promptly as possible. Written complaints should be acknowledged within five working days unless the matter has already been resolved. If more time is needed, the clinic will explain why and provide updates at reasonable intervals.
External complaint options
You can contact the Health and Disability Commissioner if you prefer to raise a complaint outside the clinic or if you are not satisfied with the clinic response.
For privacy concerns, see the privacy statement for privacy contact details and Privacy Commissioner options.
