LimeLight IPL (Cutera)

LimeLight IPL is an advanced light-based option within the Cutera platform and may be considered for selected superficial pigmentation, sun damage, redness, rosacea-type flushing, and uneven tone.

It is not the same as laser treatment. Assessment determines whether IPL, a laser, prescription care, topical treatment, or a more conservative approach is the better starting point.

Questions

Is IPL a laser?

No. IPL uses broad-spectrum light rather than a single laser wavelength. It can still carry risks and should be chosen carefully after consultation.

Is IPL suitable for melasma?

Not always. Melasma can worsen with heat or unsuitable treatment, so diagnosis, skin type, and pigment risk need careful review first.
